Lawrence Glenn Hall Obituary

Lawrence Glenn Hall Sr., 81, of Chicora, a highly respected retired Pennsylvania State Police trooper, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, while in the company of his loving family at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Lawrence Glenn was the son of the late Ralph Hall Sr. and Virginia McGee Hall. Born in his family's home on April 20, 1944, weighing only 3 pounds, Glenn triumphed over many odds to lead a full and meaningful life grounded in family, service and tradition. He always said that his greatest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life, Carol, with whom he shared 61 devoted years of marriage. The couple was married at St. John Church in Fenelton on April 11, 1964.
Glenn proudly served as a Pennsylvania State trooper for 25 years, where his impact reached far beyond enforcement. Following his retirement from the Pennsylvania State Police, he served as a police officer at Butler Junior High School and Chicora Elementary, which he loved. For years after retirement, Glenn remained deeply connected to the law enforcement community and his solemn oaths - he could recite the Pennsylvania State Police's "Call of Honor" word for word until his last days. His sense of duty and determination never faded. His devotion and pride to serving as a trooper heavily influenced many other family members to follow in his footsteps. Aside from his service to the community, Glenn was also a successful and respected small-business owner of various butcher shops over the span of 45 years.
A man who loved his routines and the people in them, Glenn found joy in the simple and steady. He was an avid hunter, a bingo regular and a casino enthusiast. He always looked forward to Wednesday lunches at Millerstown with the "troublemakers" after bingo, and a scratch-off ticket was never far from reach. He especially loved spending time at the family camp in Clarion, making memories that will be cherished for generations.
Glenn had a sharp wit and a unique term of endearment - those he loved most were affectionately (and famously) called "peckerhead." It was his own way of saying, "You're my kind of people."
Glenn is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Carol; his three children, Tammy and her husband, Doug, Wanda, and Glenn and his wife, Shannon; his eight grandchildren, Clinton, Douglas and his wife, Allison, Derrick and his wife, Tawni, Alex and his wife, Belle, Hailey and her husband, LaCell, Max and his wife, Riley, Johnny and Adam; and six cherished great-grandsons, Myles, Eli, Hudson, Carson, Weston and Bentley. He is also survived by his siblings, Ralph, Carol, Roger, Linda, Roland and his wife, Sharon; and sister-in-law, Donna; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, who were very special to Glenn.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ralph and Virginia; an infant sister, Nancy; a sister, Jean and her husband, Verne; a brother, Steve; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Peggy; and two brothers-in-law Dick and Dan.
Above all, Glenn was a man of deep routines and deeper loyalties. Glenn's legacy of service, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family will live on through all who knew and loved him.
