Cassie Lorene Cunningham, age 32, passed away on October 3, 2018. She was born January 15, 1986 to Charles and Debra Cunningham. Cassie graduated from the Omega School for Girls in 2004. Cassie had a love for the Lord and shared her faith on numerous missionary trips to orphanages abroad. Cassie was known for her bright smile and a personality that made her instantly memorable and loved. Cassie will be remembered for her love of life, family and for educating little minds. Cassie deeply enjoyed working at Ella Barnes Elementary School and she enjoyed her years working at Yorktown Christian Academy as an educator for nine years. Cassie touched the lives of many. The love Cassie had for her family flowed strong and deep leaving us with precious memories to treasure and keep.
Cassie is survived by her parents, Charles and Debra Cunningham, paternal grandmother, Martha Louise Cunningham and her loving big sister, Candice Beatrice Cunningham. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and loving family to cherish her memory.
Cassie was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Annie D. Harris, maternal grandfather, Robert Lee Todd and paternal grandfather, James Vernon Cunningham.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship, 6602 South Staples St., Corpus Christi, TX. 78413.

Dear Cunningham Family, My name is Gloria Campos. I am a parent of a previous Pre-K student of Ms. Cassie. I am sending this message to you now because it wasn't until today while I looked at the school yearbook that I found out about the tragic news about Ms. Cassie. I'm sure you well know how sweet your daughter was. It was a treat to have her as a teacher in my daughter's classroom. Her smile was contagious and so very genuine. Due to the fact that teachers get a whole new set of parents each year, a lot of them just stick to saying hello to the current student's parents. However, not Ms. Cassie. Anytime she would see me or my daughter on campus she was sure to say hello and ask how we had been. It brightened our day to see her around in morning drop off or during lunch in the cafeteria. I personally had missed her on campus and believed she must have moved somewhere else or had different assignments within the school. How I wish that were true. I didn't know her very well, but her gentle and sweet kindness was ever present in her beautiful smile and bright shining eyes. I'm so very sorry for your loss. It was a great loss for you and all the students and parents who were blessed by her presence. Sincerely, Gloria Campos
