Though I haven't connected with Chip since the late 70's, we were good friends at Deerfield where we met, and later when we stayed with him when sailing Solings in Texas. He was one of the most interesting and enjoyable people to be around, and so generous with his time and energy. I was sad to read of his passing and will keep him in my thoughts warmly.

Chip was a great friend to me when we were
much younger in Buccaneer Days. He was a true gentleman and great shot and patiently took time to teach others at charity events. He deserves a great
time in heaven. Chip truly epitomizes the lines of Kipling about the Good dying young.
Love and deep sympathy to all his family,

He had an infectious laugh that makes me smile, even now, to remember. He was always a wonderful person to be around, a generous and good man. I offer my condolences to his entire family.

I believe I met Chip at least 20 years ago at the B-Bar-B lodge outside of Kingsville. We hunted quail together, with Luther Young as our guide. I mostly shot photos, but I'm pretty sure we bagged some bobwhites. And I think Luther captured a rattlesnake, which he was prone to do on hunts. Chip was an excellent wingshooter and an even better trap & skeet shooter. But mostly he was a kind and generous gentleman to me.

I have such fond memories of Chip, and was terribly saddened to learn of his passing. Chip was a delightful soul with a laugh that came directly from his heart. I can picture him w/ Max, teaching and guiding him, as he enjoyed the outdoors, and spoke, and shared, so simply and deeply from his heart. Our door was always open to Chip, who always brought a ray of sunshine when he walked into our home.
Chip is a person I will truly miss, as he so courageously, yet, humbly, followed his heart.. I know his life was lived to the fullest and he will be greatly missed. Blessings to the family, and our love to Max! BETH & STEVE NAISER
