ASHWIN KRISHNA Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Ashwin Yogeshwar Krishna announces his passing on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the age of 20 years. Ashwin attended Canton Country Day School from kindergarten through 8th grade, then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hoover High School, where he was an AP+PLTW scholar, member of the varsity tennis team, and recipient of the David Magoon Memorial Award for scholarship, sportsmanship, and leadership. Ashwin went on to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he pursued a B.S.E. degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Engineering Student Government, and the Michigan Hybrid Racing team.
He was a loving family member to his parents, Arvind and Ritu Krishna, his sister, Anika Krishna, his grandparents, Mr. Jagdishwar and Mrs. Saroj Narain and Dr. Devendra (deceased) and Mrs. Nirmala Singh, and his U Mich family, Derek, Ethan, Jess, Gabby, Krissi, and Dani. Ashwin will be remembered for the passion, innovativeness, and humility with which he lived his life, but most importantly for the respect he gave and happiness he always strived to bring others.
The memorial service for Ashwin will be held at 1pm on Sunday, September 23 at Reed Funeral Home on 801 Pittsburgh Ave in North Canton. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Michigan Electric Racing, the U Mich student organization Ashwin was extremely involved in and passionate about, through which he worked on building electric cars to compete in national competitions. Donation checks for the team can be mailed to 1221 Beal Ave., Suite G264, Ann Arbor, MI 48109, made out to "University of Michigan" with a memo stating "gift to Michigan Electric Racing, In Memory of Ashwin."

Krishna family,
Ashwin truly was one of the most sincere human beings I have ever had the privilege of knowing. No one ever had a bad thing to say about him, simply because he was the kindest person I had ever met. I had the privilege of playing tennis with Ashwin throughout high school, and it was so refreshing having his positive, kind demeanor on the court. I am so beyond honored to have known him throughout high school and beyond. He will never be forgotten.

To Ashwin's family and friends- I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Ashwin was so kind and extremely brilliant. When we were paired up to cowrite a book report for English that I had neglected to read, he approached the situation with grace--like he did everything. When I would be too embarrassed to take pictures of the tennis team for the school newspaper, Ashwin would volunteer himself. I'll always remember Ashwin for the wonderful person he was and I'm incredibly honored that I was able to meet him. Everyone grieving is in my thoughts.
