Eric Daub Obituary

Eric Lewis Daub
Eric Lewis Daub, age 40, of Perry Twp., OH, passed away Sunday evening at Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. Born in Mount Clemens, MI, on June 9, 1966, to Walter K. Jr. and Joan (Lewis) Daub. Eric was a graduate of Boardman High School, class of 1984, and had also obtained an Associate degree in Auto Diesel Technology from Washington Technical College, in 1986. Eric was employed by the Windy Hill Hardwoods Manufacturing Co. for several years. Eric enjoyed reading. He would read any subjects, especially books that were related to the American Western. Besides spending time with his family, Eric loved the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His father, Walter K. Daub Jr. preceded him in death in 1998. He is survived by his mother, Joan Daub of rural Petersburg, PA; his loving wife, Shelly Daub and three children, Thomas, Brittany, and Matthew Daub, all of the home; a sister, Catherine and his special brother-in-law, Tony Widmer of Bentonville, VA; a brother, Jeffrey and wife, Lisa Daub of Port Matilda, PA; mother-in-law, Freda Barkheimer of Massillon, OH; brother-in-law, Jay Barkheimer of Massillon, OH; sisters-in-law, Diane Wilson of Richville, OH, Sandy (Don) Long of Navarre, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home-Canton Chapel with Rev. Bert Ambrose Jr. officiating. Calling hours will be on Wednesday (TONIGHT) from 6-9 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for his children's future in Eric L. Daub's benevolent fund at any Sky Bank location or mailed to Sky Bank at 6248 Navarre Rd. SW, Canton, OH 44706.
