Harold Bleuler Obituary

Harold R. Bleuler
1930-2017, age 86, passed away peacefully April 24, 2017 due to pneumonia.  He was born May 5, 1930 in Dalton, Ohio to Harry Bleuler and Edith Bleuler Robinson.  He graduated Washington Union High School, Massillon Ohio in 1948, and received a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toledo in 1957.  He worked much of his life as a chemical engineer, at U.S. Gypsum Company,  Kelly-Moore Paints, and Murco Wall Products.
Harold was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1950-1953.  Before being stationed in Korea, he was assigned to the Signal Corp.  He would humorously tell the story of having to drive up treacherous mountain roads to a relay station to pass on intelligence reports.  His greatest fear was that he would arrive at the station, forget his password, and be shot by an MP!
Harold married Leola Ringley Bleuler in 1955.   After a brief time in Toledo and Chicago, they lived most of their lives in Irving, TX.   She preceded him in death in 2010.  Harold spent his last three years in Lookout Valley, TN.  His hobbies were reading, photography, hiking and camping, gardening, and working out at the YMCA. He was a lifelong learner and enjoyed discussing politics, religion, and philosophy.  He made a profession of faith in Christ in 2017.
Harold is survived by daughter, Cindy Bleuler Tucker, son-in-law Tony, Tucker, of Lookout Mountain, Ga.;  granddaughter, Leighanne Tucker Moreland; grandson-in-law, Ryan Moreland; great-granddaughter, Lila Kate Moreland,of Hixson, Tenn.; and son, Ken Bleuler; and daughter-in-law, Maureen Shields Bleuler of Frisco, Texas.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, April 29 at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon , Ohio.  The service will be held at 11 a.m. Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of sending flowers, donations may be mailed to Bethany Christian Services, 930 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37403.  If writing a check, please write “Harold Bleuler” in the memo.  Donations may also be made online at bethany.org.  Under Give, please specify in memory of Harold Bleuler and the Chattanooga, TN location.
