James (Jim) Morris

passed away suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 at his home in Massillon, Ohio. After graduating from GlenOak high school in North Canton, Ohio in 1981, Jim served in the Army and the National Guard and then worked at the Timken Company and Sirpilla RV. For over twelve years now, Jim was a top performing salesman at General RV in North Canton. Outside of work Jim loved flyfishing and traveling, as well as, grilling foods for his family and friends. Mostly Jim enjoyed anything with an engine, including snowmobiling, boating, jet-skiing, and restoring cars. Jim was an avid lover-of-cars and talented at fixing just about everything. Additionally, Jim liked to personally support several charitable efforts including Toys for Tots, the 525 Foundation and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The son of Robert W. Morris and Valois J. (Richardson) Morris, Jim was born on April 25, 1963. He married Linda (Lain) DeSantis on Jan. 5, 1991 at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Massillon. Jim is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife Linda, and his stepdaughter, Tara DeSantis and her children, Anthony, Alyssa and Andrea; by his siblings, Jane (Joseph) Brownlee of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Michael (Margie) Morris of Pittsburgh, Pa; and by his nieces and nephews, Benjamin and Kirsten Brownlee and Clayton and Aurley Morris. Jim was preceded in death by both of his parents, his stepson, Dante DeSantis and step grandson, Andrew Rossetti.

Calling hours will be held this Saturday, Jan. 9th at 10 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Services in Massillon with a service following at 12 noon. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum immediately thereafter. The service will also be Live Streamed for those that cannot attend.
