Jeffrey Yoder Obituary
46, of 4743 Grant St. Mineral City, died Monday, June 13, 2011 of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident near Canton while on his way home from work. Born Sept. 8, 1964 in Millersburg he was a son of Avery E. (Ada) Yoder of Sugarcreek and the late Carol Ann (Miller) Yoder. He was a floor manager at A.R.E. Truck Caps in Massillon. He was a member of the Sandyville Eagles and the Army Navy Club of Bolivar.
He is survived by his fiancé, Nancy Dunn of Mineral City; a daughter, Kayla (fiancé, Kyle Shanower) Yoder and a son, Lucas Yoder, both of Canton; two granddaughters, Alexis and Harmony and a grandson, Kyan; three sisters, Leanne (Matt) Harman of Sugarcreek, Loretta (Scott) Miller of Millersburg, Lorraine (Bobby) Harding of Ragersville and two brothers, Chuck (Jill) Yoder and Bryan (Rae Ann) Yoder both of Dover.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. in NewPointe Community Church near Dover. Pastor Dwight Mason will officiate and burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery at Sugarcreek. Following services a luncheon will be held in the Sandy Valley Eagles at Sandyville. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in NewPointe Community Church. Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling the arrangements. For those unable to attend please visit the funeral home's web site to share a memory and sign the guest register.

Every person that one comes into contact with has an effect on life and Jeff made an enjoyable effect. I looked forward to seeing him and Eric when I would come into work early to help in their department. This tradgedy has left a black void of emptiness hanging in the air for many including me and my heart and prayers go out to all, especially his family. HIs presence in my life will truly be missed as it will in the lives of all those that knew him. Jeff, you have entered into eternity now. You will get to experience a whole new dimension of life in the hands of our loving Father.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

This is hard for me to except.
Jeff and I worked together for 20 years at A.R.E. we shared lots of memories. I remember coming over and seeing Lucas and Kayla in highchairs eating dinner. Time sure passes quickly, you were a true friend! We lost a brother! God bless! R.I.P.
