Ralph Dalessandro Obituary

Ralph J. Dalessandro 2016
85, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 6, 2016. Ralph retired from Acme/Click after 30 years of service. Before working for Acme he managed the family grocery store, Ralph's Discount Beverage and Dalessandro's Florist on Bowery St. in Akron. He was a member of several Italian Organizations, The Societa Di Mutuo Sorcorso Conversanese (MSC) Club,The Italian Community of Akron “Le Radici” and The Order of the Son's of Italy Lodge #685. Ralph and Rosetta volunteered for many years for The Italian-American Societies of Summit County annual Italian Festival. Ralph will always be remembered as a very devoted family man and a true friend. He loved and cherished his wife, Rosetta, who loved and cared for him after his diagnosis with Muscular Dystrophy. The two recently celebrated their 60th wedding anni-versary.
Ralph also cherished his two sons, John A. (wife Ellen) of Copley and Steve (wife Della) of Perry Twp. Ralph will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Steven (wife Colbey) of Perry Twp., John II and Adam of Copley, Marissa Eisenbrei of Tallmadge; and his great-grandson, Luca (son of Steven). In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandson, Ralph is also survived by sisters: Annie (Tony) Zita of Norton, Celeste Vario of Canada and Mary Menecola of Canada; brother, Anthony of Tallmadge; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends that are far too many to name. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Vivian. He was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy 20 years ago and struggled with this debilitating disease. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to The Muscular Dystrophy Association for their support through the years and Akron General Visiting Nurse Services.
