Ruth Kandel Obituary

Ruth M. Kandel
Age 83, of North Canton, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1925 in Wheeling, WV to the late DeWitt and Lenora Pearl (Ridgeway) Cox. She worked as the head cook at North Canton City Schools, retiring after 19 years service. Ruth was also a charter member of North Canton Church of Christ where she was an active volunteer for the Needles and Knots sewing group, Food and Clothing Giveaways and many other activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loren in 2006; son, Marven J. Kandel in 1959; sisters, Essie Braucher and Beulah McFadden; and brother, DeWitt C. Cox. She is survived by her children, Steven R. (Valarie) Kandel of Englewood, FL and Keena S. (Dan) Knisley of North Canton; grandchildren, Shawnda (Doug) McCollum, Jeremy, Alex, Tyler and Caitlyn Rearick; great-grandchildren, Karris and Kaden McCollum; step-grandchildren, Eric, Randy (Amy) and Steven Knisley; and step-great-grandchildren, Gavin, Rylea and Olivia Knisley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW, Canton with Mr. Rod Stockdale officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday 5-8 p.m. and Saturday 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to North Canton Church of Christ, 1301 East Maple St., North Canton, OH 44720.

We are so sorry that you have had to suffer such a great and sudden loss. We take heart that Ruth is walking streets of gold right now with her Savior, free of pain and suffering. May God help bear your sorrows.

Hi,I am So Sorry to here about Ruth.Ruth was a Very Special Person to me.Why does God take the Good People away From Us.Thats not Fair.
Well She's in Heaven Now With My Mom,She'll Take Care of Ruth.Thay are Laughing Right Now.

I wish I could be there but unfortuneatly I can't but Jim & Jeri will be. You know your Mom was a very special person to me and I will truly miss her. I am so glad we got to see her when we were there in June. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers
