Thomas Basham Obituary
Age 58, of Perry Twp.
passed away Friday July 3, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. He was born January 9, 1951 in Ellison, WV the son of Carlos and Lola (Cox) Basham. He was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School. Thomas was a former vice president of operations for Cecchini Enterprises. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Diane (Hartwick). Also surviving is his mother Lola of Massillon; children Heidi Basham, Tim (Tracey) Patterson, Michelle (Mike) Meyer, and Thomas (Jessica) Basham Jr. all of Canton; eleven grandchildren; brother Robert (Marcia) Basham of Canal Fulton; sister Karen (Jim) Bradshaw of Massillon. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos, and one brother James Fred Basham. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to www.paquelet.com.

Diane, I'm so sorry about Tom. The few times that I saw him at your house, he was always so very kind to me and the kids. Alexis said to tell you she's sorry about your husband. Even when he wasn't feeling well, he put on a happy face. Sorry I couldn't get a way to the calling hours, but you are in my thoughts, and have been all weekend. I am saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I worked with Tom in the early 70's at McDonalds. I was his assistant night manager until 73. He was always very cheerfull and a great person to work with.
