Gerard Dunn Obituary



Gerard A. Dunn (Jerry), a long time resident of the GlenBurnie and Pasadena area, died Saturday the 3rd of June at Baltimore Washington Hospital after suffering a long battle with heart disease. Born May 23, 1928 in Hawaii to parents Edward A. Dunn and Myrtle Castle. A Veteran of the Korean War, Jerry was an attorney for Equitable Trust before serving over 23 years as a contract lawyer for UDAG (HUD). Jerry was the first President of the Rippling Estates Civic Association and very active with the Greater Glen Burnie Sports League in the early 1970's. He was both a past president and commissioner and devoted coach. In his early days he enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle. In later years, Jerry was instrumental in helping the Pasadena Senior Center with county legal services and was an avid artist. He was very involved as an usher for Our Lady of the Chesapeake Catholic church and a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight. He was married to Eileen Wroten Dunn for 58 years. He is survived by a Son, Anthony (Tony) Dunn, his wife Paula, and Daughter, Patricia (Trish) Dunn and her wife, Jeri. A memorial service will be held, Friday, June 30th- 10am - at Our Lady of the Chesapeake with a luncheon to follow adjacent tothe church. Address: 8325 Ventnor Rd,Pasadena, MD 21122.
