Heather Sachs Obituary
Heather Sachs, born on July 7, 1967 originally from Severna Park and St. Margarets, Md died April 6, 2018 at her home in Wilsonville, OR. She graduated from McDonogh School, Class of 1985 and Salem State University, Accounting, Class of 2001. She was a longterm caregiver of her late partner, Alaga Raj Thiruvengadam, also the Class of 1985, McDonogh School. She was very active as a fiber dyer, weaver and spinner. She was an avid reader and passionate animal lover. Heather enjoyed travels to Albania, Australia, China, France, Great Britain, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Turkey and to visit her maternal Maritime Canadian family. She is loved and cherished by her mother, Phyllis Sachs Dixon, father, Melvin G. Sachs, Jr. and sisters, Stacia Sachs Elliott and Paula Gene Dixon as well as nieces and nephews; Daniel M. Elliott, Robert B. Elliott, Tammy L. Campbell, Stacia E. Elliott, Ralph W. Elliott, Lawrence M. Elliott, adored great niece, Abigail M. Campbell and lifetime friend, Tim Lehem. Heather was an artist of great depth and complexity. No memorial service is planned.

I lived in the dorm room next to hers at McDonogh. I was always impressed with Heather, quite the beautiful soul. So sad about her passing. My condolences to her loved ones.
