James Horvat Obituary



James Richard Horvat was born March 31. 1934 in Johnstown PA and was a resident of Anne Arundel County for over 60 years. He served as a route salesman most of his work life. A member of the Moose and an active member of Glen Burnie United Meth. Church. Mr. Horvat enjoyed playing horseshoes, hunting, camping, fishing and was active with HAP Program for the disabled. He is survived by his wife Nancy Horvat (nee Patrick) and children Thomas Horvat of Glen Burnie, Donna Johnston and Eileen Cullember of North Carolina, Vicky Mallet of Milton, DE and her husband Lou as well as step-children Wanda Cangelosi of FL, Kristy Robinson and her husband Carroll of Glen Burnie and Barbara Atkins and her husband Tim of Grafton, WV He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his parents, sons Butch Hall, Ricky and Ronnie Horvat, daughter Patricia Torrence, brother Fabian Horvath and two grandchildren. He passed away peacefully at Medstar Harbor Hospital following a long battle with Alzheimers disease. Services were held at Glen Burnie Methodist Church on Friday, March 3.
