JoAnn George Obituary

JoAnn (Nee Liptak) George passed away June 13, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband James Barry George. She was a devoted mother of Tracy George of Pasadena, MD, Ryan George and his wife Jennifer of Woodbine, MD, and Jennifer George of Pasadena, MD, and three grandchildren, Teagan, Tristan, Hadley. She was the dear sister of Francis Liptak, Joseph Schnetzka, Evette Spodienok (Spud Spodienok), Barbara Brown, Marcia Shaffer (Russ Shaffer) and a beloved Aunt to several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was born in Pennsylvania on September 5, 1951, to the late Francis Liptak of Johnstown, PA and the late Mary Jane (Cookie) Dull. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. JoAnn was a Pasadena resident for 38 years and a licensed cosmetologist for over thirty years. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling at slot machines, traveling to local casinos, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family.
