John Harry Moore Age 82 died September 17, 2021 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Mr. Moore was born in Washington, DC on July 29, 1939. He was a resident of Gambrills, MD for 50 years, he was currently living in Chester, MD. He attended Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring; MD His love of aircrafts led him to join the United States Air Force where he attended Air Force Aircraft Technical School at Lackland Air Force Base in Lackland TX. As an Airman he traveled to Okinawa, Australia and finally Andrews Air Force Base. Her received numerous letters of Commendation and Merit Awards. He remained at Andrews Air Force Base as a civilian as an Aircraft Technician for the prestigious 89th Presidential Airlift Command from 1958 to 1994. His hobbies and interests included sky diving, airplanes, genealogy, motorcycling, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Odenton, MD He is survived by his wife of 59 years Lillian Sestito Moore of Chester, MD, Son John J. Moore of Gambrills, MD, Daughters Valarie A. Eggerl of Centreville, MD and Beth A. Moore of Mt. Rainier, MD. He was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Ruch. He was the grandfather of 3 and the great-grandfather of 2.
