Robert ll Obituary

Robert "Bob" Koch, age 65, passed away peacefully on Jun 13, 2024, in Marco Island, Fl. Bob grew up in NY, then moved with his parents to Ohio and later moved to Maryland for his dad's job. Known as "Bear" to all his close friends, Bob was a graduate of Severna Park High School, and Anne Arundel Community College. He later graduated from the University of Maryland , University College with a bachelors in Information Technology. Bob enjoyed flying,boating,riding his Sportster, skiing and the beach. His favorite places to ski were PA, VT, NH, ME, UT, CA and Whistler, BC. Bob took many motorcycle trips with his friends and his most memorable was the "Yippie Tour" to Milwaukee for the Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary reunion. Bob also loved working with the returning veterans on "Feeding the Troops" held by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 990 in Smithfield, NC. Bob never served but he found a way to serve veterans by "serving those who served us". Bob was employed in various positions in Information Technology during his career. He worked at Cary & Canon while in high school and after graduation as a computer operator, Blue Cross/Blue Shield/Carefirst for 19 years, and for Dell Services/NTT Data for 10 years at the Department of Transportation in DC. His final employment was in Naples, Fl. Bob was predeceased by his dad, Robert D Koch. He is survived by his Mother, Pauline Koch, of Severna Park: brother Paul Koch: sister-in-law Cinda: step nephew Travis Sinsky; nephew Paul (PJ) ll: niece, Molly of Odenton and close friends Rod (Sandra Koch) Charlton of NC. A celebration of life will be held at a later arranged date.
