Daniel E. Berish

FORT MILL – Daniel E. Berish, age 74, of Fort Mill, formerly of Nelsonville, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, in Carolinas Medical Center Main in Charlotte, N.C.
Daniel was born in Patton, Pa., the son of the late John and Bertha Berish. Mr. Berish was retired from The Readers Digest in Chappaqua, N.Y., and Graymoor, Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in Garrison, N.Y. Dan enjoyed traveling with his family, fishing, golfing, bowling and billiards.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Loretta; his children: Kevin and wife, Regina, of Stormville, N.Y., Kenneth of Fishkill, N.Y., Kathryn and husband, Doug Janeczko, of Warwick, N.Y., and John and wife, Cathy-Jo, of Chesapeake Beach, Md. Dan had eight beloved grandchildren: Danielle, Amy, John Christopher Jr., Kristen, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Michael and Robert. Dan is also survived by his sister, Jean Ann Fitzpatrick and husband, Jack, of Pennsylvania, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Rose Doubt of Pennsylvania.
A funeral mass will be conducted by Father John Giuliani, C.O., at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 E. Munn Road, in Fort Mill.
A funeral Mass and burial will be conducted in Cold Spring, N.Y., at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Our Lady of Grace, Catholic Mission Building Fund, 7031 Waxhaw Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
