Christopher Spence Obituary

Christopher Charles Spence, 47, of Hanover, PA, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Born August 31, 1977 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Charlotte Ann Harris Spence of Finksburg and the late Richard Hamilton Spence. He worked for Conewago Enterprises, Inc. He was an avid Ravens fan. Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter Hannah Christine Wren and husband Seth of Spring Grove, PA; a granddaughter Wynona Wren, a brother Richard Hamilton Spence, Jr. of Glenville, PA; aunts and uncles Cynthia and Keith Livesay, Bob and Sherlia Harris, Colette Harris, Cheryl and Johnny Fox, Candace and John Wimmer, Rodney and Jane Harris. Also survived by many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Anthony Spence. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Art Monroe officiating. The family will also receive friends on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stockert Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Rd., Flatwoods, WV. Graveside services will follow at High Knob Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
