Elvio Filbert Binetti

Elvio Filbert "El" Binetti, 83, of Westminster, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at BridgingLife Dove House. Born June 26, 1941 in The Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Omero and Elvira (Zoccoli) Binetti. He was the cherished husband of Jeanne (Uhler) Binetti, his loving wife of 53 years. El was a Veteran of the United States Army, and proudly served his country in Vietnam with the Army's 25th Infantry, 101st Airborne Medic Corps. He was employed for 26 years for Jos A. Banks in Hampstead, where he worked as a shipping supervisor, until his retirement in 2007. El was an avid fan of sports, beginning in his younger years when he played lacrosse at the University of Baltimore. He shared his passion by coaching soccer, lacrosse and basketball for Gamber-Smallwood Optimist. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to keep busy, whether it was gardening, handiwork, or fishing and crabbing. Above all he loved his family, friends, and country. El was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Park, where he served as council president and property community chairman. Surviving in addition to his wife is daughter Patricia Martin and husband, and son Paul Binetti; grandchildren Kathleen, Meghan, and Benjamin Martin; 9 nephews, 5 nieces; several great nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Ronald Binetti and Fabio Binetti. The family will welcome friends on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 833 Deer Park Rd., Westminster. A visitation will begin 1 hour prior. For those unable to attend the service will be livestreamed on the church's website https://trinitywired.org/ Interment with military honors will be in Trinity Lutheran- Deer Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to either Trinity Lutheran Church, or Gamber Smallwood Optimist Club,3103 Stetson Dr. Finksburg, MD.
