Harry A. Lenk

Harry Albert Lenk, age 87, of Marriotsville, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born March 23, 1930, in Baltimore he was the son of German immigrants, Frederick Lenk and Christina Kuhn Lenk. He was the husband of almost 23 years of the late Zefaniah "Fanny" Bautista Lenk who died April 6, 2004. Harry had worked in corporate management for many years. He had worked for Dupont, Smithsonian, General Electric, Koppers and District Photo. He was a graduate of Catonsville High School and attended Towson State University. Harry was a veteran of the US Air Force where he had enlisted at the age of 17. He completed basic training in San Antonio, TX and served in Japan. Harry was a pilot, home builder and enjoyed traveling the world. He is survived by children: Susan Wandelt of Daytona, FL, Kimberly Naber of St. Louis, MO, Ann Lee Warrick of Highland, CA, Christiopher Lenk of Mesa, AZ and Julie Levin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; step-children: Kevin Ruark of Marriottsville, Jeffrey Ruark stationed in Afghanistan and Cynthia Steen of Frederick. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will follow at 7pm Tuesday. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD on Wednesday at 10am.
