Jason Kinnear Obituary

Jason David Kinnear passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49 in his Westminster, Maryland home on August 19, 2024. Born on May 31, 1975 in Howard County, Maryland, Jason graduated from Liberty High School and Carroll Community College before entering a lifelong career in business and sales. Jason worked for many years as an estimator and top sales member for Carroll County Contracting (CCC Fence) before changing his focus to real estate, where he spent the last decade working mostly with RE/MAX Solutions and for himself. Jason was highly entrepreneurial and a natural leader with a strong work ethic. He was consistently self-employed and pursued side business ventures, including co-founding the CBD company Karma Farma, while participating in the community as an active member with the Bucs Club of Westminster. Jason's excitement for sales and business complimented his creativity and deep passion for nature. Whether hiking, fishing, experiencing live music, or caring for countless plants and animals, he thrived in his connection with the outdoors and everything around him. He was a natural social butterfly and made lasting relationships with almost everyone he met. Jason was a devoted father to his son, Nicolas, a dedicated and faithful husband to his wife Carolyn, and a loving son to his mother JoAnne Fry, step-father Robert Fry, and father David Kinnear. Those who knew him well describe him as extremely loyal, willing to help when needed, full of dynamic energy, and possessing a wonderful sense of humor. Jason is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kinnear, with whom he shared 24 years, his son, Nicolas (20), his mother, JoAnne Fry, father David Kinnear (Colleen Kinnear), mother-in-law Karen Barnes, father-in-law Jim Barnes, sisters Jessica Garthly (Neil Garthly), Christine Harmon (Josh Harmon), Elizabeth Fry, brother Wesley Fry (Ashley Sier), sister-in-law Sara McPherson (Kevin McPherson), brother-in-law Timothy Barnes (Molly Moulden-Barnes), grandmother Barbara Kinnear, and many nieces and nephews. Jason is preceded in death by his step-father Robert Fry and grandfather Thomas Kinnear. A celebration of life will be held at Flood Zone Marketplace and Brewery, 50 N Main St, Union Bridge, MD 21791, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on October 25, 2024.
