Brian Bitner Obituary

Brian Eugene Bitner April 10, 1965 - November 5, 2006 Brian Eugene Bitner, 41, of Trout Run, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at his home. Born April 10, 1965, in Lewistown, he was a son of Ralph E. Bitner and Barbara A. (Thomas) Bitner, of Reedsville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a former spouse, Evelyn C. (Peachey) Bitner, of Montoursville. They were united in marriage in 1985 at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, in Lewistown. He is also survived by his sons, Jerad R. Bitner, of Trout Run, and Bryant A. Bitner, Cody S. Bitner, and Christopher E. Bitner, all of Montoursville; and a brother, Bruce Bitner and his wife Michelle, of Port Royal. He was a 1983 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School, where he pitched for the baseball team and was a wrestler. He played Little League and Babe Ruth baseball, and also wrestled for the YMCA. He was a self-employed hoof trimmer for 15 years. He was a member of the Hoof Trimmers Association, and a member of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association. He was baptized in and attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lewistown, and was also a member of the Christian Church at Cogan Station. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and owning and breeding registered Holsteins. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday Nov. 10, 2006, at Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 11, 2006, at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Marshall Deckard officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Milroy. Memorial contributions may be made to SUN Home Hospice, P.O. Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857 or to American Cancer Society, Mifflin/Juniata Unit, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
