Alison Davies Obituary

Alison Davies CHARLOTTE - Alison Davies passed from this life on Thursday, March 19, when God recalled one of His angels. She was born September 6, 1964, in Swansea, Wales, and was predeceased by her mother Mary Davies. She is survived by her father, Terry, and brother, Chris and his wife, Liz, who reside in Wales. Alison leaves behind her adoring husband of 20 years, Mark Allison, and her loving sons, Jon (19), Matthew (17), and James (12). Mark and Alison met at Neath Port Talbot College in Wales. Mark and Alison were wed in Gretna Green, Scotland. Alison was employed by the British Gas Board and then became a full-time homemaker, which she loved. The family's journey to the United States began in Alaska in 1998 then continued to the Carolinas in 2004. Alison was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family with all her heart, and she especially treasured their family vacations. Alison enjoyed spending time with her friends from the Community School of Davidson as well as the Davis Lake Swim Team and Ladies Bunko Group. Alison courageously lived every moment of her life, giving us a continued hope of love and strength. A memorial service celebrating Alison's life will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC, with visitation at 10:30 a.m. and a service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Please share condolences online at www.hankinsandwhittington.com.

Mark & Family:

I am so saddened for your loss of Alison. The couple of times I did have the chance to meet her she was the most pleasant woman. You are all in my thoughts and in my prayers.

"A good name is to be chosen rather than great wealth." It is obvious that Mrs. Davies made a good name for herself. May the peace of God be with you in this difficult time. -Proverbs 22:1 Philippians 4:6,7
