Savannah, Georgia - Annemary Kinter, of Savannah GA, formerly of South Boston, MA; passed away peacefully on June 27th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was a practicing Catholic with a deep faith in God.
As many know, Annemary was an incredibly kindhearted and thoughtful woman, who, jokingly, identified as 29 years old. She was known for her spitfire personality and beautiful heart. She brought joy and laughter everywhere she went.
Despite having a large family, she made time for everyone. Whether it was a cross-country trek or sending her infamous "niffty-giftys," she made everyone close to her feel special. She was a daughter, a sister, a loving mother, and a grandmother. Her children were her life, her pride and joy. She spoke with them, and her mother "Terry" nearly every day. She was a talented artist, who loved traveling and being outdoors as often as she could. She spent many years in Bozeman, MT, where she found peace in nature and discovered many great friendships. Most recently, she enjoyed her time in Savannah, GA, with her father "Bill" and her loving fiancé' "Chuck." She cherished her time with her family, watching her favorite TV shows, online shopping, and playing cribbage.
She was predeceased by her late husband David Allen Kinter (2002), and brother William J. Whalen Jr. (2008).
She is survived by her devoted fiancé Charles Warren of Savannah, GA. Beloved mother Theresa A. Tober, stepfather Ronald J. Tober both of Charlotte, NC, and father William J. Whalen Sr. of Savannah, GA. Beloved sisters Ronna Mary and Alanna Nicole Tober both of Charlotte, NC, and Kerry Beattie of Longmeadow, MA. Loving children Theresa Mary Nicole Kinter of Charlotte, NC, Samantha Rori Maria Kinter of Raleigh, NC, Marialana (Lannie) Ida Nichole Kinter, and Jacob (Jake) Daniel Kinter both of Charlotte, NC. Cherished grandsons, Roman, Matie, Corbin, Cortez, Emerson, and many loving relatives in Boston, MA.
A prayer service will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC, on Thursday, July 13th, at 12:45 pm. Interment will be held at the Church Columbarium.
Celebration of life will be open to family and close friends.
