Barry Harper Obituary
Mr. Harper, 26, formerly of Charlotte died in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sunday, March 6, 2005.
A service to celebrate his life will be held in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service Friday, March 11, at 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be private.
Barry was a loving, giving, affectionate, and devoted son, and brother. He attended East Mecklenburg and Charlotte Catholic High Schools and participated in many of the sports activities. Mr. Harper was a graduate of the Divers Academy International and was employed as a commercial Deep Sea Diver. In his spare time Barry enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting pool and hanging out with his friends.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Barry T. Harper, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Christie Lundquist and her husband, Mike of Surfside Beach, SC and Charlotte; sister, Amber Stywalt of Chester, VA; brother, Scott Harper of Charlottesville, VA; step brother, Todd Lundquist of New York, NY; step sister, Tracie Gunning of Westerly, RI; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. Also surviving is his step father, Ken Summey of Charlotte.
Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 2020 Euclid Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.
Arrangements are in the care of Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel, 1111 East Blvd. (online www.hankinsandwhittington.com)

Barry it was great to have you as a very close and special friend. We shared a lot of great laughs and memories but we also had some bad times but I will always remember you as one of my best friends and I just wish we had more time together. Love ya brother and miss you a lot!
