Ivor Selinger Obituary
November 30, 1935 - January 12, 2025
Charlotte, North Carolina - Ivor David Selinger, 89, of Charlotte, NC passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He was born November 30, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Saul and Thelma (Blau) Selinger. Ivor retired from a career in retail along with being a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean war. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Robert Selinger. Ivor is survived by his wife, Patricia Louise Selinger and his children; Gary Selinger, Christine Louise Faust, Margaret Sue Eldridge, Richard Curtis Selinger, Patricia Lynn Haney and Rachel Hannah Selinger and 10 Grandchildren along with 4 Great Grandchildren; Frankie Faust IV (Frankie Faust V, Mavrick Faust), Nicole Bretting, Christopher Faust (Wesley Faust, Wyatt Faust), Sydnie (Haney) Sellars and Quinton Sellars, Emma Haney, Raymond Eldridge Jr, Courtney Eldridge, Chase Selinger and Ryan Selinger. Along with many other extended family members.
Ivor loved reading, playing the stock market, listening to classical music and watching his favorite sports teams (NY Giants, NY Mets and the Celtics). He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There were many occasions where his goofy personality would keep himself and everyone around him in stitches. Ivor was loved by all and will be missed tremendously; he left us with the greatest of memories.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for the family at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's/ Dementia foundation of America (alzfdn.org/yearend/).
