James Jones Obituary
He was predeceased by his wife, Glenda, of 38 years, his brother, Frank Jones, and his mother, Frances Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Shea (Mark) Boyce of Greenville, SC and son, Jimmy (Allyson) Jones of Columbia, SC. He also has four granddaughters, Meghan and Courtney Boyce and Stella and Lyla Jones, who he adored. Also surviving is a brother, Drew (Mary) Jones. Jim "Big Daddy" will be missed by many close friends who were like family.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 19 from 5-6 p.m. at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212 . The Funeral will be Monday, November 20 at 1p.m. at the Chapel at Union United Methodist Church, 7582 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Union United Methodist Church or Sharing God's Love,147 Friarsgate Blvd, Irmo, SC 29063. Both of these missions were very dear to him.

I met Jim at Union UMC when I was a member there. He and Glenda always sat near our family. It was always a pleasure to see them on Sunday mornings. I lost touch after i left. Jim was a good man. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing. Condolences to the family.

Sorry to hear about Jim. He was a great man and i had the privilege of meeting and knowing him the past 4 years. He shared his stories with me which were so interesting and entertaining. A stand up guy and a man of GOD. RIP Jim Jones. Billy Beard
