Jerry Brady Obituary

Jerry Brady
Mr. Brady, 72, passed away Friday evening, August 15, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born in Durham in 1936 and spent most of his life in Charlotte. In recent years Jerry resided at Merrywood.
Jerry was the son of the late Maude and C.B. Brady. He is survived by his brother Jon P. Brady and his sister-in-law Gwen Brady of Charlotte, nieces Linda Street McDonald of Wolcott, CO, Margaret Street Cochrane of Charleston, SC, nephews Edward Street of Charleston, SC, Jon W. Brady and Christopher Brady both of Charlotte.
Jerry graduated from Fishburne Military School in 1955 and attended High Point College in High Point, NC. He was employed by Brady distributing Company where he retired in 1996. He was a lifelong member of Myers Park United Methodist Church and for many years a member of the Luther Snyder Bible Class.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19, at Myers Park United Methodist Church in the Francis Chapel. Visitation will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Myers Park United Methodist Church,1501 Queens Rd. Charlotte, NC 28207.
Harry and Bryant Co. is serving the family of Mr. Brady.

I worked at Merrywood for several years, and one of the highlights of my days there was running into Jerry, and having a great laugh no matter what mood I was in. He was one of my favorites, and I know he will be missed.

Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family at this hard time. I worked for Brady's a short period of time in the 70's.. Jerry was always a happy face to see even if your day was going very bad. God has a new smile now.
