I had the pleasure of working with `the Mayor´ for several years while he built the Village park. It was readily apparent he was a unique, brilliant and wonderful man with a big heart and dedication to the Port Dickinson community.
My condolences to his family!

Dear Wilfley Family.

I was so sorry to learn of Jake's death. He and Jeanne were such good friends of the Troy family for so many years. I watched you boys grow up.
Jake was so proud of his family and loved you all. I know we will all miss him.

To The Wilfley Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Wilfley was such a kind man and I will always remember him cheering on the band at CV or being in the audience of the musicals. May all your memories bring you comfort and peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My father, Jerry Manter, loved working for Jake at Singer Link. He always had such nice things to say about him. Dad was pleased that PD park was named after the Wilfleys. May the wonderful memories you have of your dad, help you with your grieving now.

We are so sorry to hear of Jake's passing. We knew Jake and entire family for many years. They were active members of our church and great supporters of the community. I remember one 4th of July taking Jake for a ride in our old Mustang Convertible for the Hillcrest Booster Day Parade and what a gift he had with the crowd. Please know that your family are in our thoughts and payers during this difficult time. Bob & Carol Seidel

I first met Jake about 20 years ago during my first campaign for a seat on the Town of Dickinson Board. I had the pleasure of being able to work with him on town/village related issues over the years. He was a true gentleman who will be missed.
