It’s hard to believe that Johnnie left us ten years ago. How can this be? Her spirit is alive and well when I think of her and about the many experiences and prayers we shared.

Family,
It may be 7 years, but Johnnie is NOT forgotten. I often think of her when I pass by the apartment that you lived in while in Cambridge, MA.

Again, WOW! I still cant believe my friend Johnnie is no longer with us. Soooo many memories. We laughed aloud and prayed together many times. I still remember her smile and the sound of her laughter. To this day, I think of her often. I continue to celebrate her life and spirit. Proud and thankful to call her my friend.

We lift you up unto the Lord
In this time of grief,
We pray the Lord will be to you
The comfort that you need
And when you have no answers
To all the questions 'why',
Know that God is in control
And is there by your side
He understands the way you feel
And knows the loss you face,
So rest in His eternal love,
For there, you'll find His grace.

Dear Family:
I sat with my mouth open in shock to hear of Johnnie's passing. I was saddened to hear the news and smiled at the same time to know she is where she longed (eventually) to be. So many memories come to mind; praising the Lord, struggling, rejoicing, laughing (she had a wonderful laugh, and sense of humor). I could go on and on. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I will be there on Saturday in spirit.
Sending much love.

There's a saying that people come in to your life for a reason..well I entered the life of Johnnie Mae Weathers unexpectedly at which time she opened her doors and her heart without hesitation. I must say it wasn't something I was used to,but through the struggles and changes I've endured through life it has always been a reminder of how awesome Gods love is. It is clear that Johnnie Mae walked each step and lived each day filled with a love like non other..."God's Love". Only an individual who knows the love of God can share it looking for nothing in return. Johnnie Mae you have touched many lives for sure and I stand here today a strong, mature woman thanking you for the part of me you created. Only you know the conversations we had and the guidance you always provided to me. Thank you a millions times...you will forever be missed.
