Kay Jenkins Obituary
March 4, 1941 - October 5, 2023
Charlotte , North Carolina - Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Kay Broome Jenkins, of Charlotte, NC, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2023.
She was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School - class of 1958.
She retired from Aramark Corporation working in the finance department or many years.
She was a member of Derita Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school, served in the women's circle, and was a member of the choir before later becoming a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.
"Nana" was loving and her home was always open to anyone. Nana lived for others regularly volunteering and serving where she could. She loved spending time with family and friends and was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved family including her daughter, Amy J. Baucom, of Charlotte, her brother and sister-in-law, Richard Broome and Sarah Broome, of Concord, her granddaughter, Kaylyn Anderson, and her grandson-in-law, Karl Anderson, of Charleston, SC, in addition to nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Arnold Jenkins, her father, Thomas Ray Broome, her mother, Bessy Price Broome, her brother, Boyd Broome, her sister, Virginia Burris, and her grandson, Brian Harris Baucom.
Graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte on Monday, 10/16 at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church

Kay and I were close neighbors, church family and classmates from 1st - 12th grades so it was always a joy to get to see her through the years whenever I was back in NC. I always enjoyed hearing Kay and Arnold sing in the church choir, Arnold play his accordian and teach adult Sunday School classes. My love and prayers are with her family.
