Charlotte, North Carolina - Our family is deeply saddened to announce the loss of Kim Loan Dang Nguyen on February 27, 2021.
Kim Loan's inner beauty matched her outer beauty. She was adored by all within her community and deeply loved by her family and friends. She was kind and made others feel important when engaging in conversation. Kim Loan was known for her cheerfulness, laughter and a natural radiance that captivated those around her. She also had a competitive edge but was respectful and displayed grace whether she won or lost.
Heaven gained an angel with great taste; Kim Loan, a master of style, had a love for fashion and thought it proper to always look one's best. While her class and elegance were regularly on display, she was always unpretentious, affable, and approachable because she never forgot her roots.
Kim Loan had much love in her life, but at the time of her passing, none were more important than that of her 4-year-old twin grandchildren. She considered herself the luckiest person in the world when God gifted her son and daughter-in-law with both a girl and a boy. The happiness that the twins brought to their beloved 'G-Ma' had no equal. Although Kim Loan's calling came too soon, we are grateful for the short time the twins had with her as she imprinted upon them her cheerful spirit and energy that will remain in them for the rest of their lives.
Kim Loan is survived by her immediate family: husband, Anthony Thu Van Nguyen; son, Christopher Leon Nguyen and his wife, Jin Hua Lin; and grandchildren, Emma, and Kai Nguyen.
She is also survived by the Dang family: four brothers, Dang Huu Tho, Dang Huu Khang, Dang Huu Ninh, and Dang Huu Loi; and a sister, Dang Thi Kim-Lien; as well as all their spouses and children.
Additionally, she is survived by the Nguyen family: parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. That Nguyen; brothers-in-law, Nguyen Minh Nien, Nguyen Duy Hien, Nguyen Ngoc Hai, and Nguyen Duc Trong; sisters-in-law, Nguyen Maryanne Bich and Nguyen Le Kieu; nephew, Nguyen Ngoc Aaron; as well as all their spouses and children.
Her legacy will live on through the hearts and minds of those that knew her, as well as those whom she touched but never met.
