Linda Gilbert Boes
LINCOLNTON -- Mrs. Boes, age 76, of 607 Cat Square Road, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at her home.
Her funeral will be 3:00 PM Thursday, July 21, 2005 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Dixon Free officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 to 2:45 PM at Warlick Funeral Home prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Boes was a native of Lincoln County, born July 25,1928, daughter of the late Mike and Bessie Hartsoe Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Boes. Mrs. Boes was the executive assistant to the Admiral in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, DC before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lincolnton, and a member of NARFE Chapter #1983 of Lincolnton.
Survivors include two brothers, Jimmy Gilbert of Lincolnton, and Ralph Gilbert of Sarasota, FL; four sisters, Judy Gilbert and Mary Hoyle of Lincolnton, Helen Davis and Jean Ritchie of Charlotte.
Warlick Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

It is with much regret and sadness that I learned of your loss. My mother, Polly Beam, loved your family and really enjoyed working with Judy and Mary. Please know that I share in your grief over the loss of your dear sister. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time.
