So many memories of Rick, but one was his love of movies. In the Eagles locker room, he was always talking about a movie he had just seen and often he would act out whole scenes. Rick knew every line in Dirty Harry and he did a pretty good imitation of Clint Eastwood. So it is no surprise to me that his granddaughters Elle and Dakota became Hollywood stars. While Rick is remembered as a talented athlete, he clearly had some acting ability as well. I'm sure it was handed down. He was a great guy. It is hard to believe he is gone.

I was a newspaper reporter covering the Philadelphia Eagles when Rick joined the team in 1970. He was a rookie quarterback, I was a rookie reporter so we had that in common. Rick was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

Rick was a terrific guy. I went to Myers Park with him and participated in Young Life with him. We raced against each other in Gym. He and I were always neck and neck at the finish. Rick was a delightful person and I'm sorry I missed out on his lifetime after high school. Rest in Peace good friend.

When I heard of Rick´s passing it seemed unreal...the Rick I knew was so full of life & his personality would make you feel like you had known him forever! Hearing of his passing felt like my youth had died. I met Rick in 1960 at Jackson Homes. We were 13 yrs. From that time on into freshman yr in college we dated. Later in life, my husband & I became friends with Rick & Mary Jane and met his children. His family was special to him .... He loved his girls and loved coaching them. I had not seen Rick in years.
Rick´s parents, sisters and grandfather "Rip" were wonderful to me always. Anyone who knew Rip could see that Rick got his outgoing....full of life personality from him! Rest In Peace Rick.. I hope you are playing golf & smoking a cigar !!

Rick was such an integral part of the youth growing up in Stonewall Jackson Homes community back in the 50's. I remember him as a very handsome, athletic, friendly young man. Actually, many of us gals had a "crush" on him and thought the world of him. Sending his loving family my sincere sympathy in the loss of this wonderful person who was so beloved by many back in the days of our youth.
