Sandra Widenhouse Obituary

Sandra Pearson Widenhouse passed away on August 16, 2025, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on November 19, 1947, in Gaffney, South Carolina, Sandra lived a life marked by dedication to her family and service to others.

Sandra proudly served her country in the U.S. Army as part of the Women's Army Corps from 1968 to 1969. Following her military service, she devoted herself to a long and meaningful career as a registered nurse, caring for patients with compassion and professionalism for 35 years.

She was a loving grandmother, mother, wife, sister, and daughter whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around her. Sandra is survived by her daughter Kimberly Trevor Grice and husband Andy Grice; grandchildren Riley Trout, Jake Trout, and Max Crawford; brothers Rick Pearson (Edna) and Jackie Pearson (Ginger); and sisters Donna Wages (Bill) and Pam Starkey (Chris); and sister-in-law Gigi Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lena and Ray Gallman and Charles and Shirley Pearson, as well as her brother Wayne Pearson.

Sandra's legacy of service, love for family, and unwavering commitment to others will be remembered with deep affection. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
