Virginia Rosenberg Obituary

Virginia Ruth Rosenberg

August 16, 1924 - January 3, 2025

Indian Trail, North Carolina - Virginia Rosenberg, 100, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Hospice House of Monroe.

Virginia was born on August 16, 1924, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late David Gilmore and Mary Woods Gilmore. She was the eldest and the last surviving of their seven children.

Virginia lived a long life. She was a dedicated foster parent for 18 years and enjoyed sewing clothes for the children. She loved to cook and was an avid reader. She was a long-time member of Mint Hill Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for over 27 years. She was always dressed to impress and enjoyed having her nails and hair "just so".

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raphael "Ray" Rosenberg.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Marc and Alan Rosenberg (wife, Karen); two grandchildren, Kathryn and Jennifer Rosenberg; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Mint Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be considered for Mint Hill Baptist Church.
