Things get on, day to day, year after year and years pass by so quickly. Too quickly, That we tend to think things well last forever. I'm sorry to hear about Wendy's passing. She was a delightful person to be with.
I met Wendy, Cindy and her family in 1983 when I lived in Monroe, NC. Wendy and Cindy were the sisters I never had.
I liked being around Wendy because she always lifted my spirits. Her laugh and her smile made a room shine.
I will keep in my heart that beautiful, cheerful glow, I saw in her.
I also want to say "Thank you" to those special people she had around her, in her last days on this earth. I know she had the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for. We will all miss her deeply.
Thank you again, I know we will all be seeing Wendy again, in heaven. She'll be up there entertaining Jesus and making Him laugh!
My love, thoughts and prays go out to all the family and freinds she leaves behind, because she was one big blessing from heaven. Keep smiling Wendy, We will meet again. Love Sarah

I first met Wendy about a year and a half ago at the Buddy Kemp Caring House in Charlotte. She and I both had a diagnosis of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I was struck by the network of friends that Wendy had. Her friends loved her enough that they educated themselves about IBC, advocated for her and took her to her treatment appointments.
Wendy was so young--my age. Whenever I would see her at the oncologist's office, she always made time to find out how I was doing, even when she was in treatment for metastases.
I will truly miss her, but know that she is residing in Heaven with Jesus and she is no longer in pain.
God bless,
Debbie McKinney

Dear Kaitlin and her family,
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. Everybody (including ms. hayes's class) was stunned when we heard. I cant imagine what you and your family is going through. All of our money we donated for Relay For Life (a cancer relief fundraiser) will be dedicated in the memory of your mother.

Wendy - a beautiful person and dear friend. I'll always cherish the friendship and memories we shared. To her family - thank you for sharing your daughter with so many of us. She was the thread that wove us all together. We shall always remember her and the wonderful times we spent together. To Amy - thank you for your enduring love, concern, and support you gave Wendy. I know you two shared a great relationship - one that will never be forgotten. She gave of herself more than any of us can ever imagine. But, that was Wendy. God bless you all during this difficult time. We love you all.
Love you, Kathy
