Alex Spear, beloved husband and best friend of 60 years to Edith, nee Finkelstein; loving father of Leah Shepard,
Stephen (Sarah Evens) Spear, Mika Yehezkeli and Laura
(Michael) Solan; cherished grandfather of Amy (Phillip), Chezi, Yael, Talia, Daniel, Julia, Ariel, Zachary, Brandon, Ryan, Michael and Leah; adored great-grandfather of Conrad,Savanna and Cooper; fond brother the late of Louis (Esther) Spear, Jack (the late Phyllis) Spear and Edna
Friedman; dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Services Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Lakeside Congregation for Reform Judaism, 1221 County Line Road, Highland Park, IL 60035. Dear Edie,
As we spoke the other day, I surprized to hear the sad news and so sorry that I did not hear about it sooner. Every time I visited the home Al was always smiling, had a great sense of humor and was a very good businessman. He will be sorely missed. You are in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Dear Edie and all of Al's family - our memories of Al are fond and will be with us always . So many times we would watch him strolling by our window in Union Pier. And always a hug for everyone.
