I will never forget the time that Yia-Yia stayed with me for a week while my parents were out of town. I woke up early to get ready for school, was in our laundry room downstairs, and Yia-Yia came down in a panic, so scared because she could not find me in my bed and thought I had been kid-napped by the "gypsies". This is the kind of person Yia-Yia was -- more concerned about others than she ever was about herself, with a big, warm loving heart. She was smart, witty and a terrific cook. We will miss you Yia-Yia...we love you.
I'll make sure I feed Joee ham for Yiayia
