Dear Eileen,
I think about you often and today I was catching up with the papers and saw Dave's notice. I often think about you I wonder how you are doing. My deepest sympathy for you and the children on the death of Dave. Maybe you don't remember me, but I remember our days at Chas. A. Stevens. You will be in my prayers.

I first remember Mr. Shaughnessy when he was a cross-walk guard at St. Francis Xavier in the mid-1990's; hence as kids we all refereed to him as "crossing guard Dave". As the years went by, he was always one of the kindest presences at St. Joseph's. He will be missed.

Sorry for your loss Shaughnessy family. It is a hard thing to let go but Dave is in a better place now. Raising big hoopla with the other gentleman from the neighborhood that paved the road before him !!!
