Even though I only knew Ellen for a year during law school, she is someone I'll never forget. Her genuine sincerity, laughter, and zest for life has always touched me. I have thought about her often over the years and just found out about her passing. I am deeply saddened pray that God gives her family strength at this difficult time.

My wife Kathy and I were saddened to hear just today of Ellen's death.
I knew her from our days at Benet and Kathy knew her from St. Clement's. She was always so bright and friendly. Our prayers go out to her family, especially Jim and Pat whom I knew from high school and med school.

Dearest Geraghty Family,
I was so sad to hear of Ellen's passing. She has been in my daily prayers since learning of her illness from my mom. When I think back to attending St. Petronille with Ellen, I remember her smiling eyes, her being very smart and running track with her.
May God give you strength and peace in the days ahead.

The warm welcoming Geraghty home will forever be one of my fondest growing-up Glen Ellyn memories. Thinking about Ellen's cheerful smile and warm laughter takes me back to talking for hours around the Geraghty kitchen table, and sleepovers in the girls room upstairs staying up too late talking about everything under the sun with Marita and Ellen. May God Bless all of the Geraghtys, my thoughts and prayers are with your close and loving family. Ellen will be truly missed.

Ellen was a great friend who always had a positive spin on everything. If I needed to be cheered up I could always rely on her. I remember running into her one 4th of July many years ago and she was the same bright, funny, and ambitious person she was in High School. She'll truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers from the Lynn Family.

Ellen and I were roommates for several years until I got married and moved to California and ultimately Florida. I'll always remember Ellen's standard greeting on the phone "Hey girl...", her fabulous laugh, her generosity, her mutual love of singing, family, laughter and so much more. All who have known her through the years were certainly blessed! Ellen, the angels are now singing note for note with you! May God grant her family and friends with wonderful memories, consolation, understanding, acceptance, and above all, peace from knowing she is walking hand in hand with God.

I am so sorry that my friend Ellen is gone. Ever since I moved to Chicago Ellen has been a joyous part of my life. We have worked together, looked for jobs together, attended conferences together, shared endless conversations about our careers, enjoyed fun and gossip and supported each other through life's problems and joys. What will my croquet parties be without Ellen!
My fiance and I will miss her at our wedding. Thank you to her parents and family that cared for her throughout her illness. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives.

I will always remember Ellen as a true friend, a good athlete, and full of spunk and energy. She was so quick to laugh, and her smile always spread to her eyes (as in the song "When Irish Eyes are Smiling."). I'm so sorry she's gone, but know that she's in a better place now. God bless to all the Geraghtys.
