James J. Solava, WWII Army Veteran, age 90, at rest October 24, beloved husband of the late Demerise M., nee Audette; loving father of Dee (Jerry) McDermott, Judy (Bill) Donnelly, Lt. Jim, C.P.D. (Sandy), Sue (Pat) McDonough, Ed (Peg) and Mary (Bob) McNicholas; cherished grandfather of 24; great-grandfather of 25; son of the late John R. and Petronella, nee Rys; fond brother of Joe (May), late Cecilia (late Tony) Bartal, John (Josie), Emily (late Pete) Czarny and Betty Richardson; dear brother-in-law of Del (Dick) Martial and Rita (Tony) Kozlowski; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, October 26, 2 to 7 p.m. at the Edgar Funeral Home, 10900 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn. Interment private. Retired employee of American Can Co. for over 40 years. 708-423-1600
