Mrs. Jankowski,
My family lived 2 doors down from you in Palos Hills, and I babysat Jane and Jeanne. I wanted to express my condolences when I read about Mr. Jankowski. I have so many pleasant memories of him and your family. I am sorry for your loss.

Our family offers our sincerest condolences to the Jankowski family for their loss.
John was a great man and will be sorely missed. I met John 10 years ago when I started in the coin business, he was always willing to take the time out and talk to me about coins as well as life itself. Over the years I stopped calling him John and started referring to him as my Granpa. He treated me, my wife Katie and my daughter Lily as family. I will miss our daily phone calls, but will take comfort in knowing he is "wheeling and dealing" up above us all in heaven.

John was one of my first customers 20 years ago and quickly became a friend. As the years went by he would call me "son". He loved my daughter Katie and was grampa to her daughter Lily. We are all saddened and will miss him dearly. Our condolences to his family.

I am saddened, and the world is a bit less without the inimitable John Jankowsi. When I attended Bogan in the 60s, I rarely came into contact with Mr. J. However, years later, with my own kids attending Bogan, and I serving on the LSC, he became a good friend, ally, and mentor. I became friends with Pat, and we had many times together which were enjoyable. John could tell stories/jokes better than anyone. It's been years since we got together, but I have thought of Mr. J often. Seeing the obit this morning just broke my heart. Pat, and kids, my deepest condolences go out to you. He will always be thought of with great respect and love. I just know John is regaling all his friends in heaven with stories!! Rest in peace.
