I loved Lucia. Our friendship began when I went to the island to buy her sculpture. Several pieces later, we remained good friends. We had a bond that is too difficult to describe. We got each other. Her wisdom and thoughtfulness will stay with me forever. She found beauty in her surroundings, beauty in art, and beauty in those she loved. I am so grateful for the gift of Lucia.
