Dear Mrs. Sawosko, I am very sorry to hear of the death of your wonderful husband and teacher. I was lucky enough to have you as my science teacher at Britton School in Westchester and even trick or treated at your house for many years. Then going to PW had your husband as a gym teacher and Drivers ed. I think of you every October. You both really made a difference in my life.

Dear Mr. Sawosko,
I was honored to meet you at a Christmas Tournament you attended for your grand daughter held at Montini HS. I've told the story of how you asked me to put the trophies behind the scorers table so they wouldn't get damaged during play. I do believe the Eclipse won the game and your son and grand daughter earned the trophy.
I was also honored to know it was your tournament that I got to play in in 1974 with Willowbrook HS. Thank you for the brief meeting in this life.
In Christ's love.

Mrs. Sawosko and family,
I was truly saddened to hear of Mr. Sawosko's passing. He was a wonderful man, a great father, husband and teacher. I have so many fond memories of him and his humor when he taught me driver's ed. The patience of a saint. Your family has been in my prayers every day for the past years and now I will add Mr. Sawosko. The article about him in the Trib was a great tribute to a wonderful person. May you find joy in your memories.
Sincerely,
Pam & Gabby Kouimelis

What a great guy and much loved member of the Y Men's Club of La Grange. Walt will surely be missed by us all. Our annual tree sale will not be the same without his attention to detail and often administered sage advice! My prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.
