BARBARA TODD Obituary
Barbara Preslik Todd, 67 of Chico, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at Enloe Hospital following a brief illness.
She was a member of the Soroptimist Club, Newcomers Club, AAUW, Chico Women's Club, League of Woman Voters, Sierra Club and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Barbara had a keen interest in the arts and was involved with the Birdcage Theater in Oroville. She loved sewing, reading, watching movies, playing bridge and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Having recently traveled to Italy, Croatia and Slovenia, she was looking forward to many more adventures. Barbara was known for her kindness and sense of humor. Her life was an example of humanity and she always had a word of encouragement for everyone.
Barbara is survived by her son, Michael Edward Todd, his wife, Brenda and their four children, Ernest Mullins, Tabatha Cadle, Natasha and Bianca Todd along with four siblings, Beverly Gerbracht, Bonnie Booker, James Preslik, and Margaret Preslik; and one great-grandchild, Mackenzie Cadle. She also leaves behind many friends who enriched her life.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Chico Women's Club, 529 E. 3rd Street, Chico on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. The family requests that any donations be given to The Humane Society or Smile Train.

My beautiful mother went long before her time. It seems I think about her all the time. I can no longer pickup the phone and talk, something I took for granted. I find myself using her words "baby steps". I now know how long forever is.

Barbara was such a positive influence in my life and someone I hoped would be a close friend for many years to come. I feel so lucky to have known her this past year and a half. I will miss her bright smile and thoughtful encouragement. She was a person who touched the lives of many and her family must feel great pride about this very special lady.
