Norbert E. Nordlie, 85, of Cornell died Friday at the Cornell Area Care Center.
He was born the son of Emil and Lydia (Schlender) Nordlie Oct. 27, 1919 in the Town of Cleveland, Chippewa County. He attended the Keystone School and had farmed in the Town of Cleveland. After the death of his parents he resided with his foster family from 1976 until entering the Care Center in 1995. He loved dancing and horses.
Norbert was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Cornell.
He is survived by: his foster family, Harry and Helen Herr of Cornell and their children Brian of Cornell, Roberta Ann of Iowa, and Darrell and Sharon of Cornell.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Borton Funeral Home in Cornell with Rev. Kenneth Edenhauser officiating. Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
