Robert "Bob" M. Kazan, 52, of rural Eau Claire passed away on Nov. 12, 2004 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long, but courageous, battle with cancer.
He was born on Sept. 16, 1952 in Hobart, Ind. to George and Marjorie (Carby) Kazan. When he was eight, his family moved to Park Falls, WI. He graduated from Park Falls High School and went on to attend Nicolet College in Rhinelander. Bob met Donna Fischer in Park Falls following his schooling in Rhinelander. Later, he and Donna both attended Chippewa Valley Technical College where he received an Associates Degree is Agri-Business. Bob and Donna married on June 1, 1974 in Park Falls. Following their marriage, they moved to the Town of Wheaton where they lived for over 20 years. Bob and Donna had two children; Laci, born in 1992 and Nicole, born in 1994. In 1998 they moved to the Town of Drammen.
Bob worked for Gould, Inc. for seven years, Cascade Tissue for 14 years and most recently as a technician at Hutchinson Technology, Inc., Eau Claire, for eight years. He was an outdoorsman and musician. His hobbies included his motorcycles, fishing, hunting, swimming, camping at Loon Lake, animals and traveling. Bob, Donna and girls were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy many wonderful vacations and trips together during his life. He instilled his love of the outdoors in his children. Bob had a love for life and he cherished his family and friends always. Bob leaves behind a living legacy of his vital personality evidenced in the smiling faces and twinkling eyes of his two beautiful daughters.
Bob is survived by: his wife, Donna; his two girls, Laci and Nicole; his mother, Marjorie of Chippewa Falls; his sister, Lynne Jackson of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, George.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at Friendship Baptist Church in Mondovi, with the Rev. Dale Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire and one hour prior to the service at the church.
