Vernon Fredrickson Obituary

BRUCE/STANLEY - Vernon Fredrickson, 60, of Bruce formerly of Stanley recently passed away unexpectedly at his home.

Born Sept. 28, 1956, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, to Dale and Dorothy (Anderson) Fredrickson, Vernon grew up in Stanley and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1974.

Vernon enjoyed a great many things in life, including piloting airliners around the world for ATA Airlines during his professional career and spending his free time four-wheeling and camping in the mountains of Colorado, and motorcycling with close friends, Roy Richards and Clarence Nelson, in western Wisconsin. As good-natured and kind-hearted as he was adventurous, Vernon's unassuming attitude about life served as an example for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Fredrickson of Phoenix, Ariz.; mother, Dorothy Fredrickson of Chippewa Falls; father, Dale Fredrickson and his wife, Delores both of Stanley; sister, Linda Fredrickson and her husband, Gerard Rossi of Chippewa Falls. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nels and Rose Fredrickson; and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Bertha Anderson.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, with the Rev. Kenneth Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be from noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
